Normal saw dust.
A bottle of green food colouring.
I dropped 4 teaspoons of colouring in a glass bowl and then added the about 40 grams saw dust. This mixture is stirred until desired effect is obtained.
You then set it aside to dry, when dry it might be a bit lighter in colour.
I hope Flock 101 has been useful.
Cool idea with food-colour!
ReplyDeleteI already thought about it, but came to the conclusion that acrylics or any other sort of paint would clump it all together. Never thought of food-colour before :)
Cheers,

Wow, that`s a good idea!
ReplyDeleteI've used sawdust before, for texture but always painted over it. I've never thought of using food colouring - brilliant! I think I need to add this link to my new favourites page.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, I am going to give it a bash with yellow for some dead\dry grass.
ReplyDeleteWon't color run when using glue.
ReplyDeleteMike I used PVA glue on a base and then then the flock, no running.
